Did you see the awesome tribute to Charles Durning during the National Memorial Day Concert Sunday night? Mr. Durning participated in the event for many years, paying tribute to those men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Sunday night, Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna paid tribute to him.
Durning’s military service during World War II is an amazing story of survival (click the link below to read more, and to listen to Durning’s own first-hand account of going ashore on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day). He was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in February with full military honors.
